Bridge House

The Bridge House is a stunning house set within 150 acres of untouched scenery on the Broxmouth Estate near Dunbar – a lovely town situated on one of the most picturesque costal locations in Scotland and East Lothian. It offers many great beaches on its doorstep, such as Belhaven Bay, White Sands, Yellowcraig, Tyninghame, North Berwick and Pease Bay. They are all under 20 minute drive, so whether you feel like surfing or just enjoying the views, you’ll be delighted either way!

East Lothian is also a golfer’s paradise featuring 22 courses for all levels of golfers with many Championship courses. The estate also neighbours with the Dunbar Golf Club which is an Open qualifying venue.

Dunbar offers a wealth of activities for families. There is the East Links Family Fun Park which has animals for the children to feed, train rides and an amazing Fort for them to play on. Dunbar is also known for its indoor swimming pool with a wave machine – children’s absolute favourite! If you’re feeling more adventurous, at the Dunbar harbour, boat trips can be arranged for. Additionally, if you’d like to learn more about the world famous Concorde as well as many historic and modern aircrafts, we’re a short drive away from the Museum of Flight as well as The Scottish Sea Bird Centre in North Berwick, overseeing the all-white Bass Rock.

If you’re hungry for some arts and festivals, Edinburgh is only 20 minutes away by train from Dunbar train station. Festivals there take place all year round so you’ll be spoilt for choice with the biggest festivals – International Festival, Festival Fringe and Military Tattoo taking place in July and August.

The Bridge House presents a lovely style and following its recent refurbishment to a very high standard, it also offers some much-loved country luxury. Broxmouth Park is full of character, history and natural beauty. The park is a fantastic place for walks and a haven for animal lovers. If you’re lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of a deer roaming in the woods. The house has its own private drive which meanders through farm animals and over a bridge which is where it gets its name. It is very private and surrounded by many mature trees. There is a hot tub which is 40c all year round which is our guests’ absolute favourite!

This wonderful house sleeps 10 guests in 5 interior designed bedrooms (additional Z beds can be supplied with prior arrangement). It has been finished so that it offers a luxurious and cosy feeling, making is an ideal destination for a celebration or for family get-togethers.

On the ground floor, the sitting room offers beautiful comfortable sofas and a cosy wood burning stove. This room has floor to ceiling glass doors which open out onto the outdoor patio area and hot tub. There is an open plan kitchen with a fantastic central island – perfect for family dinners. The dining room has luxurious silk drapes and a large table which comfortably seats 10 people. Conveniently, there is also a double bedroom with an ensuite bathroom on the ground floor. Additionally, the house offers a separate laundry room.

Upstairs, there are three double bedrooms and a twin bedroom. Two of the double bedrooms upstairs have ensuite bathrooms. There is also a family bathroom and a separate WC. The master ensuite has beautiful shower and the family bathroom is decorated with Bisazza Mosaics and has a large rolltop bath and shower.

Broxmouth Park is on the A1087, 1 1/4 miles to the east of Dunbar. Exit the A1 where you see the brown sign East Lothian Tourist Trail, continue 200 metres turning right into the driveway between large curved walls and pillars.

Heating is included in the rental price.

All towels and bed linen are provided together with tea towels.

The kitchen comes equipped with all the necessities eg washing-up liquid etc.

The Bridge House is rented out throughout the year.

The changeover day is flexible. Check-out time is 10am and check-in is at 4pm.
